Been fishing for a little over 40 years (am 54 now). I was a part-time fishing guide in Wisconsin fishing from shore, hitting the rivers and inland lakes with my boat and friends in tow and also getting out when I could on the big pond (Lake Michigan) for the salmon and trout runs.

Rather cool, especially when the sun wasn't on us and that's why, I think the fish were active this morning however, I missed more fish than what was brought to the boat.

This was caught by my wife (who didn't want a pic holding her prize - biggest she ever caught) - 4 lb. 6 oz. Notice a good part of its tail is missing

Saturday - on the water by 6:00am and the top water action stayed hot till around 8:00 - switched to lipless cranks and rooster tails to finish-out the morning.

Sunday - bummer, and hot with no wind and biting flies. Lots of floating weeds in the water - surface water temp pushing 80.

June has been slow for me - hot and fast morning bites and then...the wind and struggles. No big bass except the one posted which had a very small pickerel head sticking-out of its stomach.
