Met up early this morning and met up with my friend at 5:47 am. Well atleast early for us. We arrived at about 7 am to begin our day. I had one fairly good largemouth maybe 2 or 2.5 lbs on a senko worm baby bass colored. My friend had 2 good largemouths as well caught on a senko and spinner bait. It was fairly overcast all day till about noon. No real hot spots but had quite the adventure trying to head up Mystic River. I would certainly try here again as the fish were a good size. Next time I will try upper Mystic Lake.

My friend Paully C and I have a secret spot we like to go to when we need a big boy or if lucky can reel in a small mouth. We showed up around 6 pm to find people in our spot so we tried on a bit further down and i pulled in the smallest bass i have ever seen here. The other group of people left quickly so we snatched up the spot. After 15 min or so I pulled in the first real catch of the day. A good 2-2.5 lb. largemouth. Shortly after Paully pulled in a really nice smallie to only follow it up with the biggest largemouth of the season. Good to have a spot where you can get big boys like this almost every time. Had a good night.

My friend and I took a trip last night and had a good time. He had 4 or five good fish and I had two good and one dinker. My friend had his line snap on a big boy that had jumped outta the water. Atleast we got to see it. We mainly had success where the water came into the pond. We both had success with Yamamoto senkos in green colors. Make sure to bring the bug spray though! All in all it was a good trip.
