Comment: I don't wear the traditional long johns anymore. I like the base layers made from moisture wicking material. The last ones I bought were Made by Champion at Target for like 10 bucks

Comment: Nice job guys. Shawn - since we're on the topic of layers, what brand of long jons do you recommend? I've had good luck with fruit of the loom. Thanks, Joe

Thanks

Comment: Thanks Stump. Mine is the Bass Pro shops pro qualifier rain gear. It's expensive but totally worth it. It's gortex so it's waterproof, windproof and breathable. I don't know what I did without it before.

Comment: I've had a few on the lipless since the water temps have been falling. The 40' was the first. There's no doubt that learning and getting better is what it's all about and I credit it to fishing with all of you guys. Sam has no fear of deep water and fishing with him all summer has helped me gain confidence. The only thing that I was bummed about was that I didn't catch a smallie

Comment: You've had a few firsts this year and that's what it's all about when fishing. Getting better or learning more from each trip out! I've only ever caught 1 fish on a lipless crank, but I never throw it. Will try to be doing it more in the future.

User: shawneramone
Comment: I don't know anything about finesse. My first fish was on a 3/8 jig n pig on 15#test. Next two on lipless cranks. It was pretty awesome catching a nice bass in 40' hopping a lipless crank. That was a first
